Two Riddles Answered

The Little House on the Corner has heaved a sigh and quieted down a great deal this week. The Faria family is gone after a happy reunion. There are many photos to share later this week. Last time I posted I asked a few questions at the end..."what is white, has four legs, and runs in circles?" I should have added, "what likes to hang upside down for long periods of time and eats like a horse?"

The answer?

ROXIE!!!
She is the newest member of our family and she is a riot! Brittany found her on KSL Classifieds. A young couple in Spanish Fork were feeling bad because they couldn't give her the time and attention she needs.  Both of them were now working two jobs and they had moved into a house with no fenced backyard. Poor Roxie spent all day and all night cooped up in the house with two cats (which may explain some of her wackiness!).

Did I say "runs in circles and hangs upside down"? Um...yes. She is a Jack Russell Terrier just like our Samwise was and her energy level is at a different high! She never stops moving, NEVER, unless someone sits down. Then she will hop up in any available lap and drop off to sleep as if she is exhausted, because most likely, she is! One of her most comfy positions in her bed or in somebody's arms is like this...

She will stay this way for as long as you let her, and if you try to sit her upright she flops right back! She reminds me of some of my children as they used to do the same thing. She has brought lots of fun and laughter back into our home and I have so much more to tell you about her but first I have to answer another riddle.

What has ten fingers, ten toes, and flutter kicks like an Olympic swimmer already?  Her are a few clues...

 The answer?

My grandson!!
Isn't he just the cutest little guy? We cannot wait to meet him. Estimated time of arrival?

I love Roxie! Too cute! It is amazing how much love and joy a new little dog can add back to our lives. Roxie will never take Samwises' place however, now you have Roxie to love and it helps ease some of the pain from the loss of Samwise. I have thought many times how sad it was to loose our sweet Mollie but I have also thought how sad we'd be if we didn't have Maggie.

Congratulations on your new grandson! That is going to be SO fun! I'm so excited for everyone.

I'm also so glad that you got to have a little reunion with all the Farias as well. We are going to be coming up the week of June 11th for BYU's Junior day for Blake for his football. When we come we'd love to get together with you all and see you and visit with you. Let me know if you guys will be around.

Love Ya,
JoLynn

YAY! All kinds of wonderful things are happening in your family. See, it's always darkest just before the dawn and you did experience some sad days not long ago but now look how things have turned around and "the dawn" has arrived. I'm so happy for all of you!

Roxie is just darling and so is your new little grandson (hehehe). Each of our daughters had a boy first and it was always so thrilling for us since we had only daughters. I'm sure it's especially fun having Diana right there in your home so you can experience the whole thing. Our first grandson was born when his parents were living with us but when he was about 2 months old they moved away to Washington State and I thought the world had come to an end. He's 17 now, so it all worked out fine.

We also just heard the wonderful news about Dee. We're so excited and happy for him (and you). Happy Days ahead!
