Re-emerging

I have spent my morning in bed. I am not well. The sun IS shining however and melting the three inches of snow that fell overnight...this is a good thing. I have felt very gloomy and just wish for spring and sunlight and colors!

Richard has missed three days of school this week, now working on #four. I took him to see our wonderful Dr. Hoggard yesterday and he and I BOTH came out of there with prescriptions for sinus infections! After one Zithromax Richard is tons better but all I want to do is sleep. I cannot. Too much to do. But I did stay in bed until 9:20 am which is highly unusual. Now I feel like I have lost half of my day.

Last Thursday we were treated to many relatives converging upon our tiny house on the corner. The little place was stuffed full of Faria's and Looses with a couple of Mowes' too. (Grandma Helen was the cherry on top!) The top count was 16! They all came to see Michael and bid him farewell as he enters the army. He is now in North Carolina at Basic Training. It was a crazy, noisy, crowded weekend. I hope Michael's new fiancee realizes that my home is not usually in such chaos! Sarah, you do, don't you? As soon as they were all gone on Monday Richard started running a fever and I fell down to exhaustion!

With Parent Teacher Conferences tonight at the Jr. High I am not anxious to go face four teachers in whose classes my son is not doing so well right now. I wish I could get on and blog about my "straight A" son, but he has some distinct difficulties in life and at school and I am at my wit's end as to what to do. He IS "straight A" in life, in goodness, in spirituality. I pray we can find a plan to help him succeed.

Now for your smile of the day. Brittany came home the other night and shared a video clip with us. I think Gena and I split our sides laughing. We needed a good one anyway! PLEASE watch the very short little clip! If you don't...I will pinch!

I hope that you are feeling better! I also hope that Richard is feeling better!

The last few months Conner has been having some difficulites with some anxiety issues. It's been so hard. I have thought about you several times and have even thought about calling you a few times because I needed some moral support and comfort. We were finally guided and were able to find some help and things have been SO SO much better! Hang in there and know I'm thinking of you!

Love You!

I hope you and Richard are on the mend and I hope Richard's P/T Conference went better than expected. It's so hard to be a mom. I went to the doctor this morning with, what turned out to be, a sinus infection. I've never had one before but I've been sick off and on for about 10 days. Now I'm taking some "horse" pills and so I should be better in no time. Hang in there, Spring is on the way and many things seem better when the sun comes out, I can't wait!
