The System is DOWN!

Do you remember what life was like with no Internet? That has been our life for the last four days. Problem solved now, life goes on! I missed you all!

Last Saturday we helped Nick and Diana leave their tiny newlywed apartment in Provo and move into a lovely condo in Lehi. It is just east of the freeway and near Point of the Mountain. It is very near both of their new jobs so they get to spend less time on the road and more time together! They went from a small one bedroom with a tiny kitchen (although it was very cute!) to this...
It is all upstairs over the garage with the entry on ground level. They have 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, a large laundry closet, 2 linen closets, a huge kitchen with a pantry, a garage, and storage under the stairs. They are in heaven! The master closet is as large as her former kitchen!I remember how that felt, to move up in size. Then you get enough stuff to to fill it and you move up again, and again...

I am sure Diana will post photos when she is all unpacked and has it decorated! That's the fun part! Anyway...these old bones are not as spry as they used to be! It took me a few days to recover from a big day of cleaning and unpacking. But I am back! I have a few projects going...

Remember this guy? I dug him out of someone's trash can in August. (I shocked my family and myself!)

The transformation has begun.

I am in search of a thrift store something or other to attach the table top to and then I shall get out my handy can of Krylon Blue Ocean Breeze and finish it. I am picturing bright red & yellow pots of flowers on top!

My next project(s)?

The bookshelf was in great shape when it left Gena's garage. It had a run-in with the front end of my car the other night in my garage! I will not say who was driving. I believe it is fixable. I am heading out there with wood glue and clamps later today. The chair I got at a yard sale last weekend. I am heading into Orem this coming week to find some fabric. I have discovered a "Home Fabrics" store. Good fabric CHEAP! My favorite kind!

Why do I start new projects when I haven't finished others? I do not know the answer to this age-old question but I am sure I am not the only one!
Happy weekend!

OH that is so exciting! I remember moving out of our little apartment into a larger place. That is so fun. Their condo looks very nice and roomy. They will love it!!!

I'm excited about your projects. You sound like Brian. He always has a few projects going and I am always saying, "Let's finish this project before we begin another," but that doesn't happen:)

Have fun! I'm looking forward to seeing all these finished projects!

Love Ya,
JoLynn

I LOVE the new condo! I'm trying to picture where it might be, maybe near Cabella's, on that Highland road going to my favorite Kneaders? Anyway, it looks darling and I'm sure Diana and Nick will love all the room and newness. How fun for them to be finished with college and moving on into the "real world". Good Luck to them.

I sure do admire your "fix up" skills and your imagination to beable to see a new future for older things. I can't wait to see the finished products.
