Our Amazing Maze Experience!

Let me start by saying, I am very nervous in corn mazes! Ever since I went on Richard's kindergarten field trip to Pumpkin Land in Orem I have avoided entering one again. Myself and another mother were following our charges, five very fast little boys around the smallest, cutest little corn maze you ever did see when we realized we were very lost. It was time to meet the rest of the class at the bus and we could not find our way out, nor could we keep the boys together! We heard the bus' engines start up and my son began to panic. I started to panic! The other mom suggested we cut through the rows to the edge. I thought "surely they won't leave us! They always count heads!" Just then Richard's teacher, Mrs. Jensen came around a corner and in a very annoyed and gruff teacher voice said "Where have you been? Haven't you been watching the time?!" She looked incredulous that we could have even possibly been lost in there. I felt very scolded and rebuked :( .

So, it was with great trepidation that I entered the huge Cornbelly's maze that takes some people an hour or more to complete. We chose the easier side since we wanted to get to the famous Pig Races at 6:00. But somewhere in there the men took one turn and we didn't catch up fast enough. Diana and Britt cut through some rows but we couldn't find them. Eventually we figured out we were on the Phase 2, more difficult side. Somehow it all worked out though! We even beat the guys and got to sit down and rest while we waited for them!

This is how we say it at Cornbelly's:

It was an aMAZEing time.

Or:

We had an aMAIZEing time.

Ha!

Marianne; Very interesting blog. Looks like loads of fun. What if a person truly can't fing their way out of the maze. Do they keep track of all who go in and come looking for you if you don't come out? zi can just see someone wandering forever in there. What a nightmare. Mom

No, they don't keep track but I am sure the Corn Cops comb through it pretty well before they close!

I guess you'd wander forever until they come in and cut it all down for the winter!
