TaG You'RE iT!

I've been tagged!

Thank you Kami!

So here's what you do...Write 3 joys, 3 fears, 3 goals, 3 current obsessions/collections, & 3 random surprising facts about yourself. Now you tag about 5 other people you know and learn about their oddities and weirdness too! So here goes...

3 Joys...Easy!

#1~Dee! The longer we are married the more I love him. He is gone this week and I feel lost! He dedicates himself to doing sweet things to let me know I am loved. I have found poems all over the house lately. He also sends me an "e-card" every day he is gone!

#2~ My children! All five of them are so unique and wonderful! They each give me joys in so many different ways. I love them all!

#3~The Gospel of Christ! It gives me purpose and reason to go on through life's trials.

3 Fears...Eeeek!

#1~The Dark! I can thank my two angel big brothers for this one! They made up monsters to scare me...Scooby Rah, The Evil Clock Man, The Cactus Man, and don't you know that every little girl has Frankenstein and Dracula in her closet at night? I am a grown woman and I still feel icy fingers raking down my back if I get up in the dark at night!

#2~Car accidents. I cannot tell you how many times people have hit ME! They run stop signs, slide on the ice into me, rear-end me at red lights, run me off the freeway in the fast lane while talking on their cell phones....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

#3~Mice & snakes! Nothing gives me the creeps more than something scampering or slithering into my sight without warning. I have been known to jump five feet into the air and scream like a banshee in my garage and my garden! However, after the initial scare I can rip the garage apart and poison the little critter unlike my sister Gena who has to sit up on the counter and wait for her sons to come home!

3 Goals..oh my gosh! Do I have to have goals?!

#1~I can't think of any...

#2~Wait...I want to start walking again every day...but I have wanted to do that for a long time...

#3~...so I need to get a grip on myself and get my life back!

3 Current obsessions/collections

#1~Redecorating my bedroom and bathroom. So far I have the bedroom painted and accessorized (Dee does not know this. He is out of town!), I just need the drapes and pillows. I actually got my inspiration for the bathroom last night at 11:30 while watching "Rate My Space" on HGTV. I am psyched! (I love toile!)

#2~Smallville...Tom Welling's eyes...need I say more? (Dee does know this...!)

#3~Fiesta ware! I love the art-deco styling and am making it a goal to collect some pieces for display. Ebay is the cheapest way to go. I have the disc pitcher which reminds me of my childhood because my Mom had one similar, I want to get the cute teapot, and a water carafe,...then a huge and expensive hutch to show them off in! HA!

3 Random and Surprising Facts!

#1~I cannot pray in the dark, kneeling by my bed. (see the "3 Fears category #1" for the explanation).

#2~I hide dark chocolate and raw almonds in my drawers!

#3~I have a button collection. I buy odd and fun buttons on sale and I am making a big button jar so I can be a cool Grandma someday and let the grand kids dump a thousand buttons out all over the floor and play with them...weird, I know!

Now it is my turn to tag someone and since Kami took up nearly everyone on my list...let's see how many I can come up with! Tamara, Annie, Amanda, Anya, Diana, & Melissa when you see this yOU're iT!

Hi Marianne, It has been a long time hasn't it, looks like we have ended up in the same state! Boy, that was a long time ago that you babysat my 2 boys, they are still great boys, I will pat myself on the back for that! What a beautiful family you have. I have been keeing track of them & Gena's through Tara & Lyndseys. My memory of you was you were always so happy & always had this big smile for everyone. Thanks for responding to my blog...they are so fun aren't they?! It was so good to hear from you.

Hi Marianne, Reading your "tagged" blog was very fun and I feel like I know you even better now. I love this blogging stuff! Kami and I will be in your neighborhood tomorrow picking up her children. We are going to a little store called Aunt Lizzie's and we get off the freeway in American Fork, have you been to that store? It was recommended to us by our friend, Carie, who made Kami's wedding cake. Anyway, we will wave to you as we go by. Nancy

Hi Nancy! Yes! The store is called "Dear Lizzie" and it is adorable and fun! I wish I could afford anything in there but I love to stroll through! You'll love it!

We are coming from the south. Carie said to go east to the Albertson's, then turn left. Thanks for the directions and name update, "Dear" Lizzie, it's always helpful to know where you're going!

She must be related to me because I don't care if they are dead or alive,I am deathly afraid of them. I can just see her doing that! By the way I also have a fear of driving in UT, this state has the craziest drivers anywhere. These roads are dangerous & when it snows....what a nightmare especially with our horrible winter last year. I was in a very bad car wreck in 06, a guy ran a stop sign & t-boned me, rolled my SUV 3 times & ended upside down hanging from my seat belt. I still have fears when I drive down the road always looking out for the other guy....you just have to in this state of crazy drivers!

Hi Marianne, I really should get your e-mail address so I don't take up your "comment" space with my trival notes. Anyway, we found Dear Lizzie and I could have spent the day there. It is so CUTE!! But, as you said, a little pricey. I did buy a darling skirt however, shouldn't have, but did, couldn't resist! Your directions were much better than ours, next time I will get off at the Alpine/Highland exit even if I'm coming from the south. American Fork was hoppin' yesterday....Steel Days.....looked very fun and festive, wish we had had more time. We got Kami's children, Happy Days are here again!! They were darling on the trip home, we had such a good time. Next time we're there we'll pick you up for our visit to Dear Lizzie!
