There's an Artist in the House!

It's Spring Break time for Rachel. We have enjoyed having her around. It's always much noisier and we find ourselves laughing at strange things. A sure sign she is home would be her high-top comic style sneakers on the kitchen floor, grape juice stains on the counter, and this:

~

I know...Wow!
She is working on four separate pieces.
Each one is a portrait of one of the great masters. These two are Michelangelo and Raphael.

This one is a portrait of Donatello. Are you seeing a theme here?

The final piece in the series is of the Great One...Leonardo, the Master of them all! Mr. DaVinci has made Rachel very nervous. "He Has got to be perfect Mom!"
At the time these photos were taken, only the first two Masters were finished, just so you know, because artists are quite concerned that you do not look at their work when it is incomplete
and make judgements and all...

OK, did you get the theme? Not just four great masters. Something else is going on here.
Bonus points if you can tell me!

Next week the house will be quieter and tidier. I will miss my artist girl.
So will Samwise.
(P.S. When you are a white dog hanging out with an artist you can have a coat of many colors!
Check out his shoulders and tail end!)

Obviously they are the "heroes on a half shell, turtle power!" Should I be pleased or disturbed that I got it the second I saw the first pictures? More likely it means I had little boys in the 1990's. I've missed being able to read blogs recently. I'm back!

These are incredible. However, I'm with Gena, should I be pleased or disturbed that the moment I saw them I totally got it. What a talent Rachel has.She is truly a very gifted and talented person. I'm so happy to see her using her talent! Way to go Rachel!

These portraits are remarkable and absolutely gorgeous! What a talent. How fun for you to have Rachell (I'm confused about the spelling of Rachel's name. In your post it's spelled with two l's but at the bottom of the post it's spelled with one?) home and for you to get to watch these masterpieces in progress. You and Dee are sure some kind of great parents to have such talented children!!
