Weekend Re-cap

Two holidays in two days? Odd, but true! Here's some of what happened in the little house on the corner.

First of all the cookies happened, the little birdies were happy, many were eaten quickly!

The Master of the House accompanied me on my Saturday rounds looking dashing in his hat. My Valentine...he still makes my heart beat faster every time I see him! He is still swimming to Greece as well! He went 2 1/2 hours on Saturday. I believe he swam 5800 yards! He is dropping weight like crazy...anyone want to join him?

On Valentines' Day I was trimming the ends off of my roses so they could drink up more water, using the wrong tool of course! Fillet knives and human skin...not a good combo! (I couldn't find the kitchen scissors, OK?) When the injury occurred it cause me great squealing and hopping up and down in pain, scaring my son and the Master to death. There was much blood and light-headedness on my part so the Master bound up my wound and kept that blood from going anywhere! He then signed his work with a note of love. Aw!

On President's Day we ate more cookies and lounged. I tried to stay awake and alert. It didn't work well! Too many late nights watching Olympic events I suppose!

I hope you all had a restful and love-filled holiday!

KISSES!

Oh gee Marianne, So sorry about the injury, knives are very scary. I love the cookies, especially the LIPS, we decorated cookies too but they didn't turn out nearly as cute as yours, we need lessons. I would love to lose some weight but I'm not willing to do what Dee is doing, I can't even imagine such a thing! Good for him, he will do a wonderful job in Greece and here in St. George too. Glad you all had a good weekend.

I'm sorry about your injury! Goodness!!! Those cookies look absolutely delicious! I wish I was there to enjoy them with you. I would have gladly brought my Sees to share with you also:) Also Uncle Dee looks quite dashing and handsome in his hat. However, tell him to keep eating those cookies we don't want him to waste away to nothing with all that swimming he's doing!

Oh ship some of those lovely cookies to your cousins!!!! Heck, I'll pay you for them. And I must add that your Valentine does look very smart in his hat. I love that style of hat on a man. Very dashing. Now about your injury . . . yikes! I think I'm dying when I get a paper cut ~ I cannot imagine what it would feel like to slice my finger (never done that - knock on wood). Hope you have a speedy recovery. I think your special bandaid looks much better than my Hello Kitty ones.

What a handsome valentine you have! That is one fabulous hat!
Sorry to hear about your finger...it must run in the Ellsworth family...Brent nearly burned two of his fingers completely off last week. Gonna have a sweet scar left behind.
Love the lip cookies...made we want to make dessert!
