Today I did something I rarely do...I went to the Mall! Don't get me wrong, I love shopping and pretty, new things. It just takes money to shop the Mall. I ususally hit up Target or Ross! Oh! The other thing I rarely do is spend the day with my husband...on a week day! The Master of the House had a check-up today at our family doctor so he took the day off. With a fistful of dollars from his recently celebrated birthday, he took his wife to the great metropolis of Orem! He was able to find some very nice shirts, slacks, etc. to wear to work. Then, being the compassionate guy he is, he sent me into Victoria's Secret because my old brassieres have been driving me up the wall! While I tried on a variety of demi's, lift cups, and so on, my sweetie retreated hastily out of there! What was he up to while I tried on half the C-cups in the store? Look below. I cannot trust him on his own!

I believe the University Mall purposefully place Kara's Chocolates directly across from Vickie's to capitalize on self-conscious husbands! My man is a dark chocolate kind of guy but he kindly purchased some raspberry and blackberry truffles too!

Here are Dee's finds today. Thanks go out to his mother and mine!

In other February news...

I cannot get enough of beautiful Mt. Timpanogos! I love it as much as I love my Superstition Mountain in Arizona. Notice the little band of clouds near the top?
I took this photo on Monday, Dee's birthday...

...when Richard, Brittany, and I were delivering these to the swim team!
They were so yummy! Britt, Sarah G., and I worked on them all afternoon.

Lastly, here's the birthday boy himself, keeping it low key this year.
He had cake and cupcakes at swim practice so we had banana splits for our little party at home.
(He couldn't put the sports page away...typical!)That's our February so far!

Happy Birthday to Dee! Looks like a wonderful celebration including lots of chocolate...a must for any birthday. In my California days, I loved going to the mall, it was therapeutic for me. I'd walk into Nordstrom and just b-r-e-a-t-h-e, I LOVE the smell and the piano playing. Wonderful memories. Now I go to Target too...it's just not the same.

Happy Birthday Uncle Dee!!! I hope your birthday was as great as you are!!!

I'm so glad that you and your sweetie were able to spend time together! I desperately desperately need some just Brian time! He has been working out of town and then he got back but honestly, he might as well have been gone because I still haven't seen him at all! BUT he has work and at that is a good thing so I am not going to complain! Anyway, I'm so happy that you and Dee got to spend the day together and play! Also those treats looks absolutley divine!!!

Well what I'm about to say will shock and amaze you all at the same time. I HATE GOING TO THE MALL. I don't even like to shop. I know, what's wrong with me, right? I will shop, but I already have it planned in my head and I know exactly what I want. I go in, get it and leave. I have never been able to just wander from store to store, window shoping. Ugh! I don't like spending money or time . . . that is probably the number one reason why Doug loves me - ha!
