We Gather Together...

This is the day before Pie Day. You know, the day before Thanksgiving when we make all of the pies! With my mother here we could call tomorrow "Pie and "Hot Roll" Day because Grandma is sure to be making a lot of those rolls she is famous for. I look forward to working in the kitchen with Mom. She is a little dynamo and loves to serve people. We give her a hard time because she just goes and goes (she always has) and she never stops to rest.

She hates this picture although I don't know why...I think she is adorable! I'll keep her away from the computer and you guys don't tell her OK? Thanks to Gena because I stole it from her!

Ahh...the legendary Butterhorns! My mouth is watering already!

So what are we doing on the day before Pie Day? WE are going shopping, of course! We will be shopping for something fun to wear on my birthday, Mom insists. Also, tonight Dee is taking me to see Lone Peak High School's stage version of "Camelot". I am looking forward to it because I saw their production of "The Scarlett Pimpernel" last year and was thoroughly impressed! I 'll let you know how it goes!

Until my next post, most likely after Thanksgiving day, let me wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving full of family and food! We all have so much to be grateful for though times may be hard for some of us. I am grateful for a loving Father in Heaven who has looked down on my family with love and tender mercies this last year. How I love Him and His son, my Saviour Jesus Christ!

I love you all too!!

I'm so jealous that you get to have Grandma there! You deserve it though. A mom needs to be with her daughter to celebrate her birthday. I hope you get a darling outfit and have a way fun time and a very Happy Happy Birthday! Oh and a very Happy Thanksgiving too!

We love you and miss you!

I love cooking days. When we were little, we would do that the day before Christmas and then pass out plates to all our friends. But... alas, I work at Best Buy now, and there will be no cooking or holiday happiness of any kind until January 2nd. It's like this every year. I just hate it. Have a happy day. Do YOU think it's weird that my parents turned down an invitation to be with me for Thanksgiving so that they could celebrate with your family instead? What a great family you must have. Happy Thanksgiving.

I hope you had a terrific day, and I believe you did. I know Mom was thrilled to be there with you.

Thank you for all you do for me!

And I loved your birthday post!
