Sunday night family activities included a cotton candy machine from Nick & Diana's ward party (it helps to be the activities chair!) and an experiment with my dishwater and some dry ice!
Monday's F.H.E. gave us one more night with Michael, good food, and pumpkin creativity! Richard gave up right after he started. He was not feeling well. Then, for the first time in family history I did not need to supervise the carving because they were all grown-ups! (Except for Nicholas who took Michael and left for Home Depot only to return with pipes and parts. He used saws, etc...and created and smoking masterpiece which I promised not to reveal on my blog. It is his creation to show off!) There were no explosions as there were previously with Nick and his dry ice bomb which shook our neighborhood and brought my neighbor Christina outside in a panic! I told Dee later that Diana was going to have three sons in a row and live the life of "Jill Taylor" on Tool Time...just wait!
I challenge anyone who thinks they know these kids well enough to match the name with the pumpkin.
1. Edvard Munch's "The Scream"
2. "Kirby" from Nintendo
3. A sort of abstract princess face w/crown
4. "Madame Leota" from Disneyland's Haunted House
Brittany, Diana, Rachel, & Michael
Give it a try in the comments. The first one to match them all correctly wins the amazing prize of my adulation and recognition on the next blog entry!

What a great time you all had and wonderful pictures too. We're suppose to have our family Halloween party at Diannes on Thursday (nothing like waiting until the last minute, huh?). I love the pumpkins . . . Doug is usually in charge of ours and well, we never know what the crazy man will come up with. Last year it was a pumpkin throwing up pumpkin guts, with fake blood mixed in - great huh?
Thanks for your sweet comments about our dog Beau. He was a member of our family and we really do miss him. Mom (Lora) was fond of him, so it gives us some comfort that maybe he's following her around now.
I love all your pumpkin carvings! What a creative little bunch you have there! We are doing our pumpkin carving Thursday. Should be lots of fun!
I also loved your Saturday Six. You do have a very sweet husband. I think its an honor to know him. I also loved seeing the fall leaves, we sure don't see that here. And thankgoodness for antibiotics. I sure hope Richard gets to feeling better soon.
We love and miss you all!!!

P.S. I got finished with jury duty early. Yea!!! Tell Britini next time I'm thinking I will go to the dr. I work for and have him write up an excuse like her professor did for her. Clever little idea!
Wish I could have been there for all the pumpkin carving. Looks like you had so much fun. By the way, where did you get so many pretty pumpkins. Did Dee raise them in his garden? I am also curious about the spun sugar. Where did you get the contraption that spins it?
I need to check back and see the entries again before I can guess.
PS Now I am ready to guess.
